Accessories: Preparation for Autumn 2019

Preparation for an Autumn 2019 scarf accessories collection follows a slightly different time frame compared to the development of a new cloth collection for Joshua Ellis. Scarf designing commences in April, when Hiro Yamaguchi, our Japanese Sales Director, joins us in the UK, to redesign the new seasons' collection. This year we have been working on our Autumn Winter 2019 scarf accessories collection. Joshua Ellis Accessories Range Planning Hiro works closely with the Joshua Ellis design team, feedback from customers and agents in other markets is also taken into consideration, ensuring the new collection has complete international appeal. Reviewing what we want to rerun and drop, also then allows us to work out what exciting and fresh new additions we want to make. Behind the scenes, each design in the collection has CAD files created. In June sample order quantities are put into production and the new collection launches in Tokyo early December. Kristie Reeves, Design and Sales Director at Joshua Ellis visits Tokyo early December to personally present the scarf collection to customers alongside Hiro. At this point, customer feedback is taken on board and as a result, the popular yarns are put into production, enabling a head start on manufacturing the following year. The next major presentation of the collection is then in early January at Pitti Uomo, Florence, Italy, where we show the rest of the world our vision for the new Winter season. As with the Joshua Ellis cloth collection, the Autumn Winter scarf collection represents six months of hard work, from initial development to the presentation of the finished product.
