Jayne joined the company as MD in 2012, having been with the SIL group since 1994 in the role of Group Financial Director. Jayne has been able to combine her financial skills with the practicalities of managing a design and manufacturing business. Jayne is a graduate chartered accountant and group main board director.
Kristie joined the company as a designer in 2001, having worked at two worsted cloth manufacturers. With a Master of Design from The Scottish College of Textiles, Kristie is now on the board of directors, and travels the world working with customers on bespoke design projects while directing the seasonal collections.
Louise first joined the company as a graduate in 1997 with a BA (hons) in Textile Design from Leeds University. Having worked in clothing manufacture for ten years, Louise rejoined the company as a designer in 2012, working on customer developments for Europe, Russia and the Far East, and designing the seasonal collections.
Liz recently joined the sales and marketing team in 2013 to promote the wide variety of products available from stock. Liz has extensive experience of brand development and online retail in natural fibres and interior products.
Charlotte joined Joshua Ellis in 2013 as a graduate with a BSC (Hons) in Textile Design for Fashion & Interiors, from Huddersfield University. Charlotte assists the cloth designers with seasonal collections and customer developments. She also administers the company’s stock service offering.
Kevin joined the company in 2013. As Production Director he co-ordinates our manufacturing, purchasing and quality assurance activities. After studying Textile Technology at Huddersfield Polytechnic, Kevin has worked in the textile industry all his career. He has held production positions with other Yorkshire textile businesses, and most recently in Scotland. He has also run his own company producing textiles.
Dean joined the company in 1987 as a power loom technician, having worked as a factory supervisor in the carpet manufacture industry. With a City and Guilds Certificate in weaving and tuning, Dean became Weaving Manager in 1999, and oversees inhouse warping, loom preparation and weaving.
Ian joined the company in 1983 to operate our teasel gig machines in the finishing department, having studied at Dewsbury College, and worked as an apprentice textile engineer. In 1993 Ian was promoted to Finishing Manager, overseeing all aspects of finishing from scouring and milling to pressing and inspection.
Lee joined the company as Financial Controller in 2014, having previously worked in menswear manufacturing and retail environments. Lee is a graduate in sustainable performance management and a chartered management accountant.
Since joining the company in 1994 as Invoice Clerk, Julie has held a variety of roles and now works as Export Manager. Julie’s diverse experience at Joshua Ellis encompasses elements of order entry, purchasing, assisting with production scheduling, fabric testing, despatch, invoicing and exporting. Export business has grown in recent years, Julie is now responsible for customer liaison and despatch to over 15 countries worldwide.
Peter joined the company in 2015 as Quality Control Manager. In addition to working closely with the design & finishing teams on innovation and product development, Peter co-ordinates research & development, system improvements and is NEBOSH qualified. After qualifying from Bradford College with a HNC, Peter has over 30 years of experience within the UK textile industry and has held senior management positions at several large independent textiles companies, before joining the Joshua Ellis management team.
